T-Engineering has partnered with AC Cars to produce the AC Cobra roadster at the former Saab facility.

T-Engineering is a company founded by former Saab engineers. AC Cars is the oldest operating car manufacturer in the UK. Together, they will hand-assemble sports roadsters in Trollhättan, Sweden. These cars will leave from the same walls that the new Saab 92, 900 Turbo and the latest generation 9-5 once left.

The choice of Trollhättan as a production site is no accident. The city boasts a rich history of automotive innovation, engineering excellence and a highly skilled labour force. After the closure of Saab car production, some of the engineers and technicians moved to T-Engineering, the automotive technology company that now runs the facility where the AC Cobra will soon be assembled.

In addition to skilled labour, Trollhättan offers AC Cars an invaluable asset: the Saab Legacy test track. This private proving ground was once used to perfect new Saab models.

AC Cobra

The modern version of the AC Cobra GT Roadster was introduced in 2023. The sports car has a lightweight carbon fibre panel body and is powered by a 5.0-litre Ford V8 engine with up to 810bhp, as well as a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine with 395bhp. The cost of the most dynamic and powerful version starts at £225,000 (about $285,000).
