Owners of the Genesis GV60, Electrified GV70 and Electrified G80 in the US can now charge their cars at approximately 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations.

Genesis will provide free NACS/CCS adapters to its customers. The shipment will start from 7 April 2025, and those who bought or leased an electric car before 31 January 2025 will be able to receive them. While owners of other brands could use third-party adapters to charge on the Supercharger, Tesla is officially only allowing manufacturer-certified devices.

To receive a free adapter, an electric car owner must be registered with the MyGenesis service, opt-in to receive email notifications, and acknowledge an invitation from the company within 60 days. The adapter will be sent to the address provided in the account.

Currently, Genesis electric cars in the U.S. are equipped with a CCS1 port, while Tesla Superchargers use Tesla's own NACS connector. Thus, charging Genesis cars at Supercharger stations requires an adapter.

Starting with the 2026 model year, all new Genesis electric cars in the U.S. will receive a NACS port from the factory. This will eliminate the need for a NACS/CCS adapter for the Supercharger, but will create another problem - charging at CCS stations (e.g. Electrify America, EVgo, Ionna) will now require a CCS/NACS adapter. However, many operators have already started to upgrade their stations by adding cables with a NACS connector.
