Skoda is the first European car brand with its own virtual showroom on Amazon. The interaction is established in the UK.

Thanks to the cooperation between the two companies, UK buyers can browse the full Škoda model range, check availability in their region, book a test drive and look at financing options before visiting their chosen dealership to physically see the car.

The initiative aims to simplify the initial stages of car buying while maintaining the familiar process of purchasing through dealerships.

Škoda's co-operation with Amazon allows drivers to compare all available models in the brand's range, including the new all-electric Škoda Elroq, sort out the financial side of things and, very usefully, get real-time information on car availability at local dealers.

The carmaker surveyed 2,000 UK adults about their preferences when buying a car, with 47 per cent saying that being able to research options from the comfort of their own home was important to them and 77 per cent spending up to two hours browsing the internet. It is for this category that Skoda and Amazon have launched a joint project.

The survey also showed that 82 per cent of respondents still prefer human interaction. So the opportunity to take a test drive, speak to a car dealership manager and physically purchase your next car directly from a dealer is still going nowhere.
