In addition to the usual trim levels of the new Toyota RAV4, the Japanese company has today also unveiled the GR Sport version. The manufacturer said that in addition to visual differences, this version of the model has original chassis settings.

On the outside, the GR Sport is easily recognisable by its signature "functional matrix" grille with a hexagonal pattern that creates a three-dimensional structure. The interior is decorated in dark colours, with red accents on the steering wheel, tunnel trim and sports seats upholstered in synthetic leather and Alcantara - exclusive to this version. The sporty style is complemented by aluminium brake and accelerator pedal pads and GR branded logos.

The track width of the Toyota RAV4 GR Sport has been increased by 20 mm, while sports shock absorbers, a reinforced rear suspension crossmember and reconfigured suspension and steering work to improve stability and precision. In addition, lightweight 20-inch black wheels with double spokes help to optimise aerodynamics.

Toyota did not say anything about the power increase of the GR Sport version. The new generation RAV4 is available exclusively in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions based on a 2.5-litre petrol engine. The self-charging hybrid develops 183 hp in the front-wheel drive configuration and 191 hp in the all-wheel drive version. At the same time, the RAV4 PHEV powertrain produces 268 hp and 304 hp for the front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, respectively. The PHEV has an electric range of up to 100 km in the WLTP cycle.

Sales of the new generation Toyota RAV4 will begin in spring 2026.
