Volkswagen Polo Edition 50 marks the 50th anniversary of the compact model

Volkswagen has introduced the anniversary version Polo Edition 50 to celebrate the half-century anniversary of the model. The special version is based on the Style trim with additional equipment.

Volkswagen Polo Edition 50 stands out from the regular Polo in the Style trim with some stylistic elements, as well as improved equipment.

Exterior differences:

• 16-inch Coventry wheels (optional 17-inch Torosa);
• Tinted rear windows;
• Three-dimensional "50" badge on the central pillar;

Interior:

• "Edition 50" inscriptions on the door sill plates;
• "50" on the steering wheel and glossy part of the dashboard in front of the passenger;
• Ambient lighting;
• Black ceiling, chrome pedals;
• Heated sports seats;
• Leather steering wheel, rearview camera;
• Parking and lane change assistants;
• Discover Media multimedia system with internet connectivity.

Engines:

• Petrol engine with 70 kW (95 hp) in combination with a manual transmission or DSG transmission;
• Petrol engine with 85 kW (116 hp) paired with DSG.

The optional Plus package adds a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, and keyless access.

Pre-sales for the Polo Edition 50 opened on Thursday, June 12. The base model - Polo Edition 50 with a 95 hp engine and manual transmission is available in Germany starting at 28,200 euros.
