Samsung Electronics has announced that Samsung Wallet will start supporting compatibility with digital keys for Mercedes-Benz vehicles starting July 2025.

Thanks to this new integration, users of a number of Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be able to lock, unlock, and start their Mercedes-Benz cars with their smartphones. The car recognizes the nearby device using Ultra-Wideband (UWB) or NFC technology. The key can not only be used but also securely shared with family or friends, restricting access if necessary.

  • The digital key is stored in Samsung Wallet and is protected according to the EAL6+ security standard and Samsung Knox protocol.
  • If the smartphone is lost or stolen, the key can be deleted or blocked through the Samsung Find service.
  • Access to the car requires confirmation through biometrics or a PIN code.

Users can register their digital key through the Mercedes me app.
