Acura will end production of the TLX sedan by the end of July. The reason is related to sales statistics: demand for the model is rapidly declining.

In 2024, only 7,478 units were sold in the U.S., while the previous year there were 16,731. For comparison, BMW sold 25,315 5 Series sedans in just the first half of this year.

Demand for the Acura TLX has been declining for some time: in 2022, 11,508 units of TLX were sold. Given that the market is increasingly shifting towards SUVs, the future existence of the model is in question. According to SP Global Mobility data, the share of sedans in the premium segment of the U.S. decreased from 22% in 2022 to 18% in 2024.

An additional factor has been the reorganization of production: Acura has consolidated the manufacturing of the Accord, Integra, and TLX onto one line to free up capacity for assembling electric vehicles. As the Accord is awaiting a redesign, management chose - and chose not to select TLX. The model has lasted 30 years.

Given these trends, the Integra remains the only Acura sedan in the U.S. The brand is now focusing on crossovers and upcoming electric vehicles.
