The only teaser photo and short video show the silhouette of a long station wagon. Notable features include deeply set headlights and taillights, as well as a sloping rear door glass. It is also likely that instead of side mirrors, the Vision O has cameras with built-in light indicators.
In the press release, Skoda states that the concept car provides a glimpse of the brand’s future in the station wagon segment and marks the evolution of the Modern Solid design concept. The Vision O also reflects Skoda’s 130-year tradition and emphasizes the company’s commitment to sustainable innovations.
The most successful Skoda station wagon is the Octavia, first introduced in 1960. Modern versions of the Skoda Octavia station wagon have surpassed the milestone of more than 3 million units produced over four generations since 1998, making it the best-selling station wagon model in the brand’s history. First introduced in 2008 with the second modern generation Superb, the Skoda Superb station wagon is also very popular. Other successful Skoda station wagon models include the Skoda 1101 Tudor Station Wagon (STW) with a folding rear seat, as well as the Skoda 1200/1201/1202 model family.
