The Chinese brand Dreame Technology, known for its robotic vacuum cleaners, has officially announced plans to become a car manufacturer. The debut model of Dreame will be a luxury fully electric sports car aimed at competing with the Bugatti Veyron.

Dreame has assembled a car team of nearly 1000 people and continues to expand. According to the company, its first model will create an intelligent ecosystem distinct from traditional luxury cars and provide seamless integration with smart homes and users’ mobile devices.

The company stated that entering the automotive industry was not a hasty decision or a fleeting chase for trends, but was based on a vehicle development plan approved back in 2013.

Dreame acknowledged that the automotive industry in China has entered a phase of intense competition, where the race is on for technological innovations and speed of iterations, as well as opportunities for supply chain integration.

The debut of the first EV model is scheduled for 2027. Its name or at least approximate specifications have not yet been disclosed.
