According to Autocar, the new model is set to be released in 2027. The novelty will be assembled at the plant in Valencia, Spain, where the Ford Kuga is currently produced.
The crossover will be available with hybrid and fully electric powertrains. At the same time, the Kuga will remain in the model lineup and will be sold concurrently. According to the source, the models will be similar in size, sharing the C2 platform and key components, which will help reduce production costs.
The currently nameless model will occupy an intermediate position in Ford’s European lineup between the Puma and the Explorer. The starting price will be around €30,000 (approximately $35,000). In comparison, the most affordable Ford Focus in Germany costs from €32,100. However, sales of the Focus will soon come to an end.
