A representative of Jeep confirmed the discontinuation of the Jeep Renegade in a comment to auto motor und sport.
The Renegade was an unusual Jeep. Not because of its size or the availability of front-wheel-drive versions. It was the brand's first model produced outside the U.S. — in Melfi, Italy. With a length of only 4.24 meters, it was perfectly suited for the European, especially Italian audience, craving crossovers but not large ones.
Boxy shapes, typical of the off-road world, good equipment, gasoline, diesel, and later electrified engines to satisfy the preferences of various motorists. Even for those who did not want all-wheel drive, the Jeep Renegade was available with front-wheel drive. But with all-wheel drive, it performed excellently off-road. In addition, many government bodies in Italy chose the Renegade.
Now that the Renegade has been bid a final farewell, the weight of the important small crossover segment rests solely on the shoulders of the Avenger. It is significantly smaller (4.08 meters in length) and available with hybrid or electric drive.
A direct successor to the Renegade is not currently planned, although there are rumors of a new model with similar dimensions on the STLA Small platform that may appear in 2027. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
