The iSMART system is available in all new MG models, including the electric roadster MG Cyberster. The app enables remote control of air conditioning, security, charging, navigation, and vehicle diagnostics via smartphone. All owners of new MG vehicles receive three years of system use at no additional cost.
The owner can plan the route in advance, add points of interest or charging stations, and send everything directly to the vehicle’s multimedia system. During the trip, the app provides real-time traffic data, optimizes the route, and calculates the exact arrival time. In addition, the MG Touchpoint function allows finding the nearest dealer or service center.
After completing the journey, the system continues to monitor the vehicle. In the app, the vehicle status can be checked, from fuel or battery charge level, tire pressure, remaining range, to the condition of doors and windows. iSMART automatically sends notifications when the vehicle registers suspicious activities or unauthorized start attempts.
The Find My Car function helps locate the car in a large parking lot, and if necessary, you can activate the light signal or horn to quickly orient yourself. You can also remotely lock or unlock the doors at any time, for example, to allow someone to quickly retrieve items from the car.
Electric vehicle owners can also schedule charging so that it occurs at night during cheaper tariffs. During travel, the system shows the location of nearby charging stations and informs how much time is left until full charge.
