Next week, Toyota will officially unveil the next-generation Hilux pickup in Thailand. In the meantime, you can get acquainted with some design features of the model in teaser images.

Toyota has released the first teasers revealing the exterior of the Hilux. A large brand name is placed on the front grille. The novelty is distinguished by narrower and sharper LED headlights, a sculpted hood, and increased air channels on the bumper. At the back, you can see new LED lights with a modern graphic and a new tailgate. The shown configuration is equipped with stylish black twin-spoke wheels.

Although the interior is not shown in the teasers, previous leaks and spy photos hint at an instrument panel display and a more "rectangular" dashboard design. Improvements in quality and variations of trim materials are also expected.

In terms of technology, the new generation Hilux remains true to proven solutions. Under the hood, a 2.8-liter turbo diesel with mild-hybrid technology is expected, delivering 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The popular 2.4-liter diesel and 2.7-liter gasoline engines will be retired.

Hybrid and fully electric modifications of Hilux are also expected in the future.

More information on prices, configurations, and other changes will be announced at the premiere on November 10th. Toyota Hilux production will remain in Thailand.
