The official presentation of the fourth generation Renault Twingo will take place on November 6, but photos of the car are already circulating online.

The small city electric car retains the charm of the original 1992 model, and its design almost entirely replicates the 2023 concept with minor changes such as traditional door handles, wheel caps, and modified bumpers with protective plastic for everyday use.

Characteristic features of the model include "frog-like" headlights, a compact monolithic silhouette, and a rounded rear, now elongated into a five-door body. This is a successful work of the Renault design team, which also created the retro-futuristic Renault 5.

The interior of the production car reflects the spirit of the concept, but the materials have become more practical: premium coatings have been replaced with plastic, and the seats are covered with durable fabric. A multimedia screen is installed on the dashboard above the climate control block, similar to the Dacia vehicles. Physical controls for settings are retained both on the central console and the steering wheel.

Unlike previous generations, the new Twingo will be offered exclusively with an electric drive on the AmpR Small architecture (formerly CMF-BEV), which the Renault-Nissan alliance uses for models like the Renault 5, Renault 4, and Nissan Micra. Exact technical specifications have not yet been announced, but one electric motor and a small lithium iron phosphate battery are expected.

In the European market, Twingo will compete with electric vehicles like the Dacia Spring, Leapmotor T03, as well as upcoming models like the Volkswagen ID.Every1 and the new Nissan. It will also intersect with budget B-class models such as the Fiat Grande Panda and Citroën e-C3.

Previously, Renault promised that the starting price of the new Twingo would be less than 20,000 euros before subsidies, and leasing could cost around 100 euros ($115) per month. All details will be announced officially on November 6, along with technical data and plans for the European launch.
