Ford Motor announced the launch of used car sales on the Amazon platform. The service is currently available in the USA.

Ford Motor joins Hyundai in its effort to simplify online car buying for those who want to minimize interaction with dealerships.

Amazon users can browse and purchase Ford cars from participating dealers. The program initially operates in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas. The offer is limited to certified pre-owned vehicles that have undergone thorough inspection and are sold with a special warranty.

According to Ford representatives, about 160–180 dealers have expressed interest in the new project, and about twenty of them are already preparing to start online sales. Buyers will be able to complete the transaction entirely online, but they will have to pick up the purchased car directly from the seller.

Ford was the second to offer cars on the largest online store. Hyundai was the first in 2023, placing new models for sale on Amazon.
