The exterior design of the crossover follows the same stylistic style as the N6 and N7 sedans: clean surfaces and a grille-less front panel. Full-width daytime running lights span split headlights and wrap around the front fenders. At the rear, OLED taillights stretch across the entire width of the vehicle.
The NX8 measures 4870 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, 1680 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2917 mm. This makes it 222 mm longer than the X-Trail and 152 mm shorter than the Pathfinder.

Sensors and lidar on the roof can be seen in the images, hinting at advanced driver assistance systems. Nissan has yet to show the interior, but it is expected to mirror the cabin layouts of the N6 and N7 models. You can expect a large touchscreen and soft-touch materials.
Nissan has confirmed that the NX8 will be classified as an NEV (New Energy Vehicle). The model’s specifications were recently published by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Fully electric versions will be available in power ratings of 292 hp (215 kW) and 340 hp (250 kW). A range-extender version combining a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 148 hp (109 kW) with a 265 hp (195 kW) electric motor will also be offered.
All N8 variants will use the latest CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries. Details on range and battery capacity are yet to be disclosed, but they are said to support ultra-fast charging.

The launch of the Nissan NX8 in the Chinese market is scheduled for the first half of 2026, with prices to be announced closer to that date. It is expected that the crossover will follow the N6 and N7 sedans in being exported to other markets in the near future.
Regarding prices, we will have to wait for official data, but judging by the N6 and N7, they will likely remain in a highly competitive range. For example, the N7 costs from 119,900 to 149,900 yuan, or approximately from $17,000 to $21,200.
