Kia has introduced the second generation of the compact crossover Seltos. The model will be global - sales will start in Korea, Europe, North America, and China.

The Kia Seltos has received an entirely new design. The front of the car is distinguished by a wider grille with Kia's signature "Star Map" lighting and welcoming light animation; door handles are recessed into the body. The sides feature diagonal lines, a visually separated roofline, and pronounced shoulder contours.

Its length is 4430 mm, width - 1830 mm, height - 1600 mm, and wheelbase - 2690 mm. Thus, the Seltos is slightly longer than the new VW T-Roc (4.37 meters) and the current Kia XCeed (4.39 meters).

The rear lights are vertically positioned along the tailgate, emphasizing the car's width. The X-Line version is distinguished by dark metal accents and underbody protection elements, while the GT-Line version emphasizes body-colored decorative elements. During the world premiere, the body colors Iceberg Green, Gravity Gray, and matte Magma Red were announced. In Europe, the color palette will be different.

The model's Korean specification features include a panoramic roof, individually adjustable interior lighting with 64 colors, adjustable rear seats with a 24-degree recline capability, as well as premium audio systems from Harman Kardon and Bose. Digital personalization options are also available through the Kia Connect Store.

The dashboard has a flat design with an emphasis on horizontal lines. Interestingly, in some modifications, the operation modes of the automatic transmission are controlled on the steering column, while in others, a familiar selector is installed on the center console.

The cargo space in the standard configuration is 536 liters according to VDA standards. The trunk is complemented by a two-level folding floor. The AddGear system allows for the addition of modular storage systems.

The car is built on the Kia K3 platform. The engine lineup is opened by a 1.6-liter petrol turbo engine T-GDI with 180 hp and a torque of 265 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission. Next is the 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine T-GDI with 193 hp and a torque of 265 Nm combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, a 2.0-liter petrol engine with 149 hp and a torque of 179 Nm is provided, although it will not be available in Europe.

As an option, all-wheel drive with a multi-link rear suspension and a Terrain mode for snow, mud, and sand is available. The Drive Mode Select system (Eco, Normal, Sport) adapts driving characteristics to different conditions. A hybrid version will be introduced in 2026 and will add a Vehicle-to-Load function and the Kia Smart Regenerative Braking System 3.0 to the lineup.

Production of the new Kia Seltos will start in India in December 2025. In 2026, sales will begin in Korea, North America, Europe, and China. Prices have not yet been announced, but in Europe, you can expect a price similar to the current XCeed - around 27,000 euros in Germany.
