The countdown to the launch of the new ID. Polo has begun: a few months before the world premiere, a fleet of nearly production-ready ID. Polo prototypes is covering the final kilometers of testing in various regions of the world.

ID. Polo will be the first of four compact electric vehicles of the brand, planned to launch starting in 2026. The model's starting price will be 25,000 euros.

The model is built on an updated MEB+ platform with a new front electric motor, a lighter and more compact powertrain. ID. Polo will be available with three power levels at the start of sales - 85 kW (116 hp), 99 kW (135 hp), and 155 kW (211 hp), later a sporty version, the ID. Polo GTI with 166 kW (226 hp), will join the lineup.

The base versions with 85 and 99 kW are equipped with an LFP battery with a capacity of 37 kWh, supporting fast DC charging with a power of up to 90 kW. Modifications with 155 and 166 kW received a PowerCo NMC battery with 52 kWh with a claimed range of up to 450 km and fast charging capability up to 130 kW.

In terms of dimensions, ID. Polo is close to the current Polo with ICE: length 4,053 mm, width 1,816 mm, height 1,530 mm, wheelbase 2,600 mm. But thanks to the electric architecture, it offers more space in the cabin. Inside, an additional 19 mm length is added for passengers, width and headroom have increased, and trunk volume has grown by 24% - from 351 to 435 liters, and with the rear seatbacks folded - up to 1,243 liters.

The model is equipped with a suite of modern assistants, including an updated Travel Assist system, which can help with lane keeping, longitudinal navigation, and lane changes on highways, and for the first time for this model, recognizes traffic lights and "Stop" signs.

The development of ID. Polo is conducted within the so-called Brand Group Core: the project is overseen by Seat & Cupra, the design was created at the Volkswagen design center in Wolfsburg, and key technologies - software, assistants, powertrain, chassis, and steering - are based on the MEB+ platform. Series production of the model is planned at the Seat & Cupra plant in Martorell (Spain). The world debut of ID. Polo is expected in spring 2026.
