The Japanese supplier notes that the system forms animated light effects on the interior door panels by sequentially switching three light sources. The goal is to create a more comfortable atmosphere in the cabin.
Toyoda Gosei reported that it used its own competencies in optical engineering. The LED modules integrate special patterned plates that allow for the projection of light images onto interior elements. The company also notes the growing demand for interior lighting synchronized with music or data from sensors, including object proximity warning systems.
Additionally, Toyoda Gosei developed a new steering wheel for steer-by-wire systems, which is installed in the Lexus RZ F Sport. It resembles an aviation yoke and differs from more traditional counterparts with fewer turns during reversing or maneuvering in confined spaces, such as parking.
