Volvo has unveiled the new all-electric EX60, which can recharge its battery to a range of 340 km in just 10 minutes when connected to a 400 kW charger. The top model has a range of up to 810 km.

The EX60 has a body length of 4.8 meters and is built on the new SPA3 platform. At the start of sales, the crossover will be offered in three modifications: all-wheel drive P12 AWD with a range of 810 km, P10 AWD with a range of 660 km, and rear-wheel drive P6 with a range of 620 km.

There will also be a Cross Country version with a 20 mm increased ground clearance, protective body and underbody elements. It will be available in the P10 AWD and P12 AWD modifications.

The base version of the Volvo EX60 P6 RWD is equipped with an 83 kWh battery. The EX60 P10 AWD is equipped with a 95 kWh battery. The EX60 P12 AWD has a 117 kWh battery installed.

One of the key features of the EX60 is the cell-to-body technology. In this design, the battery cells are integrated into the structural framework of the body. According to Volvo, this approach allows for reducing the weight of the car, increasing the rigidity of the body, improving energy efficiency, and making more efficient use of available space.

Another important technological solution is the use of "mega casting" technology. This involves large metal castings that replace dozens of separate stamped body parts. This simplifies production, reduces the number of welds, and increases geometric accuracy, which positively impacts safety and structural durability.

Volvo also highlights the optimized aerodynamics: the drag coefficient of the EX60 is 0.26. A 10-year warranty is provided for the battery, and buyers in Sweden additionally receive three years of free home charging.

The EX60 became the first Volvo model with an integrated Google Gemini AI voice assistant and support for Apple Music with Dolby Atmos.

Orders for the model are already open. Deliveries of the P6 and P10 versions are planned for the summer, with the flagship P12 coming later.

In Germany, the Volvo EX60 P6 RWD in the Plus configuration costs from 62,990 euros. All-wheel drive models cost from 65,990 euros (P10) and 71,990 euros (P12). Prices for the Ultra configuration: 69,790 euros (P6), 72,790 euros (P10), and 78,790 euros (P12). The EX60 Cross Country in the Plus First Edition configuration costs from 68,990 euros (P10).
