The novelty, which the company calls "extreme," will likely receive a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a flat crankshaft. The engine is expected to develop up to 650 hp and about 800 Nm of torque.
The Mercedes Mythos series was launched in 2022 as a luxurious limited edition direction. The first model was the Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed, released in a series of only 250 units.
The published Mercedes pictures show the coupe during winter testing in Sweden. The dense camouflage does not hide the features — a wide lower air intake, a huge spoiler on the trunk lid, and noticeably widened track.
In a press release, the company notes that the extreme model demonstrates affinity with the popular CLE but promises an even more uncompromising design. This may mean that the car will receive its own name, highlighting its special place in the AMG lineup.
