This marks the end of an entire era for the Alpina brand. In September, production of the limited series BMW Alpina XB7 SUV will commence at the BMW Group plant in Spartanburg, USA. It is called the BMW Alpina XB7 Manufaktur.

This version marks not only the end of XB7 production but also a transitional period in the brand's history. From early 2026, the rights to the Alpina brand belong to BMW Group, but the car still reflects the philosophy of the Bovensiepen family, who created and developed the company over decades.

The main difference between the Manufaktur version and the standard XB7 is the exterior design. For the first time in the model's history, matte paint finishes are available. Buyers can choose between Frozen Alpina Green and Frozen Alpina Blue colors.

The car also receives the Shadowline package: the radiator grille, window frames, exhaust tips, and 23-inch forged wheels are glossy black.

The interior is designed in the brand's traditional luxurious style: Merino leather in Tartufo color, Alpina logos embroidered on the headrests, and a plaque on the center console "1 of 120" emphasizing the model's collectible status.

Another feature is that with the car, the buyer receives two Lavalina leather Weekender travel bags, handcrafted and color-matched to the interior.

Under the hood is a 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 based on the BMW S68 engine. In the American version, it develops 470 kW (639 hp) and 800 Nm of torque. This enables the large SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

The suspension remains unchanged: an air system with Alpina damper tuning and an active roll stabilization system is used.

Production of the BMW Alpina XB7 Manufaktur starts in September 2026. The price in the USA is $180,000 (approximately €165,000).

There's bad news for collectors in Europe: the series is limited to 120 units and is intended exclusively for the USA and Canadian markets. Whether a similar final version will appear for Europe is still unknown. Given that the BMW X7, on which the XB7 is based, is manufactured in the USA, this is unlikely.
