The front V-Motion grille has become wider and lost its massive chrome trim. The design of the LED lights has been changed at the rear, and some unpainted plastic parts have been replaced with painted elements. New 19-inch wheels and two body colors - Sukumo Blue and Baja Storm - are also offered.
The cabin configuration has not changed: starting from the N-Connecta trim, two 12.3-inch displays are installed. However, the multimedia system now runs on the Google built-in platform. This means built-in Google Maps services, Google Assistant, and the Google Play app store. Some vehicle functions, such as seat heating or climate control, can be controlled by voice with the "Hey Google" command.
Nissan X-Trail (2026)
The 360-degree camera system has a new "invisible hood" function: the electronics create an image of the space in front of the front wheels, making it easier to drive off-road and maneuver in tight spaces.
The Nissan ProPILOT Assist driver assistance system has also been updated. It more accurately recognizes road signs and manages acceleration and braking more smoothly.
Nissan X-Trail N-Trek (2026)
The N-Trek version, aimed at outdoor activities, is highlighted separately. It features Magma Red decorative accents, black-red logos, more robust bumpers, black rails, 19-inch wheels, and a panoramic roof. The interior uses water-repellent CellCloth material, and rubber mats and a double-sided trunk mat are also provided.
The crossover retains the e-Power system: a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine works as a generator, while the wheels are driven by an electric motor.
Two versions are available:
- 204 hp and 330 Nm, front-wheel drive
- 213 hp and 330 Nm, e-4ORCE all-wheel drive with an additional rear electric motor
It is likely that the lineup will also include a 1.5 mild-hybrid gasoline version with 163 hp.
Sales of the updated Nissan X-Trail in Europe will begin in late summer 2026. Prices have not yet been announced, but a slight increase is expected due to the expanded list of standard equipment.
