The German company Ari Motors has created the Ari 458 Pro. Orders for this specific transport will start being accepted in May 2026.
Foundation
The camper is based on the light truck Ari 458, which is usually used for pizza or mail delivery. The specifications will make Tesla owners smile and truck drivers sigh sympathetically. The engine power is only 15 kW (about 20 hp), and the maximum speed is limited to 70 km/h. This automatically closes the world of fast autobahns for you, but opens up picturesque country roads where rushing only ruins the view.
Ari 458 Pro
The range depends on the chosen battery:
- The basic version with 15 kWh promises from 120 to 180 km of range
- The top version with 23.5 kWh allows for up to 230 km on a single charge
Of course, a trip to the sea on such a device will turn into a real adventure with frequent stops at sockets, but Ari Motors insists: freedom is not speed, but the ability to drive where a large Volkswagen California gets stuck between houses.
Life on three "squares"
The length of the car is from 3.5 to 3.8 meters, and the width is only 1.49 meters. Inside, you get a living module with an area of 2.8 m². Despite the microscopic dimensions, the engineers managed to make an internal height of 1.85 meters, so most people will be able to stand at full height without risking head injury.
Interestingly, the manufacturer sells not a ready-made interior, but an "empty box" with prepared communications. The module already has electricity laid out, water outlets, and mounts for solar panels on the roof. The owner must construct the bed, shelves, and kitchen himself.
Price
The starting price of the Ari 458 Pro is just over €30,000. For comparison, full-fledged campers based on Ford Transit or Mercedes Marco Polo cost twice or even three times as much. However, for this money, you are buying not comfort, but a specific philosophy. This is transport for those who are satisfied with a sleeping bag and a view from the window and who are not afraid to spend a few hours at a charging station in the middle of a field.
