Jeep's smallest SUV is getting a meaningful update for its European markets, and the numbers behind it are hard to ignore. The Avenger has collected over 270,000 orders since its 2023 debut — roughly 60% of those for electrified variants — making it the best-selling SUV in Italy and one of Jeep's most important nameplates on the continent. The refreshed model adds a new engine, a new all-wheel-drive powertrain, and a special 85th Anniversary Edition. None of it is headed to North America.
Powertrain lineup
The headline mechanical addition is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 101 hp (75 kW), paired with a manual transmission. Jeep says a Miller-cycle combustion process and revised turbocharger improve fuel efficiency compared with the outgoing unit, and extended service intervals come with the package.
That petrol engine joins three other options: a 110 hp e-Hybrid (mild hybrid), the full electric at 156 hp / 116 kW with 260 lb-ft of torque, and a new 4xe plug-in hybrid AWD variant producing 145 hp combined. The electric version uses a 54 kWh battery, supports up to 100 kW DC fast charging, and is rated at 248 miles under the WLTP standard (the EU range-test cycle — not EPA). The 4xe AWD rides 210 mm (about 8.3 inches) off the ground and, per Jeep, can climb slopes up to 40% on loose or slippery surfaces.

Styling and interior updates
Outside, the Avenger gets a revised front fascia with LED-lit seven-slot grille styling — similar to the updated Compass — along with new bumpers, 17- and 18-inch wheel options, and two new colors: Forest and Bamboo. The 4xe adds red trim accents and a Jeep Shield skid-plate graphic.
Inside, Jeep used softer materials on the doors and dashboard. Altitude and Summit trims get new fabric-and-vinyl combinations. The 4xe's cabin uses washable green surfaces designed for buyers who actually use the off-road capability. Standard equipment across the range includes full LED lighting, climate control, keyless start, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 85th Anniversary Edition
Marking the brand's 85-year history, the special edition adds gold-finish wheels, tartan hood decals, unique interior badges, Matrix LED headlights, front fog lights, and a 360-degree camera system — available across all four powertrains.

Pricing and availability
UK orders open late summer 2026, with entry pricing estimated around £29,999 before incentives. The electric Avenger now qualifies for the UK government's £1,500 Electric Car Grant, dropping the EV entry point to approximately £28,499 — per Electric Cars Report. Deliveries are expected in Q4 2026 or Q1 2027.
The Avenger is not offered in the US or Canada. Jeep has flagged interest in a North American launch, but no business case has been confirmed for 2026. Those looking for a compact Jeep stateside remain pointed toward the Compass or the Renegade — per Stellantis UK Newsroom.
