Citroën has opened orders in Germany for the Ami Outdoor, a fresh special edition of its electric microcar priced from €9,690. The variant combines a roll-back fabric roof and rugged graphics with the familiar closed-cabin two-seater body, broadening the urban runabout line-up.

Roll-back roof and cabin kit

Painted in Khaki Green with contrasting black and red graphics, the Outdoor rides on white steel wheels and carries a small cartoon mascot dubbed Migoo. Inside, standard equipment includes three dashboard storage boxes, door nets, a bag hook, floor mats, and a luggage net.

A 5.7-inch colour display sits ahead of the driver, paired with a smartphone cradle. Drivers can also opt for a Connect-Box to operate phone functions directly from steering wheel controls, while Citroën offers modular accessories such as a Cargo-Kit through its online shop.

Carried-over electric hardware

Underneath the visual updates, the mechanical package carries over unchanged from the regular Ami. The 2.46-metre-long quadricycle has a top speed of 45 km/h, meaning you can drive it in Germany with an AM licence from 15 years of age. It has a turning circle of 7.20 metres.

Citroën quotes a range of up to 75 km under the WMTC motorcycle testing cycle, noting that real-world endurance depends on operating temperature, battery age, charge/discharge cycles, and battery version. A full top-up using an ordinary 230V household socket takes roughly four hours.

The €9,690 German list price includes VAT but excludes delivery and registration fees. Citroën is also pitching the microcar on a 36-month lease starting at €65 per month, which requires a €1,350 initial deposit and permits 5,000 km of driving each year.
