The mobility of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been increased due to 15 new Nissan Navara 2.5D 4x4 pickups. These cars have already entered the army.

Cars for the Armed Forces were purchased by the Competent Army Assistance Fund "Come Back Alive". As told Taras Chmut, head of the fund, 15 vehicles were used to strengthen the air defense system - the 160th Brigade from Odesa region, the 302nd Regiment from Kharkiv region and units working with Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles.

This is only the first batch of cars, in total the agreement provides for the supply of 52 pickups with a total value of 1,554,800 euros.

"Officially, with the appropriate crossing of the border and the closure of all customs documents. Due to this, all vehicles will be registered and will be officially operated, refueled and repaired at the expense of the budget", - Taras Chmut said.

"Come Back Alive" foundation buys new cars for the army, as their operation is predictable, they do not break down at the most unnecessary moment and do not create problems for the military.

The fund plans to distribute the next 37 vehicles between the army and navy units.

The updated Nissan Navara was introduced in the fall of 2020. Restyled version of the pickup received 2.3 dCi turbodiesel in 163 and 190 hp versions. Transmissions to choose from - 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic, in RWD or 4x4 versions.
