The Canadian company INKAS conducted ballistic tests of the armored Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The SUV withstood multiple hits from firearms, grenade and land mine explosions.

The modified Toyota Land Cruiser 300 received VPAM VR7 and ERV2010 certifications. This means that the car can withstand shelling from automatic weapons of 7.62 and 5.56 caliber, and also protects passengers and the driver from a side explosion of 15 kg of TNT (equivalent) at a distance of 2 meters.

In addition, the popular off-road vehicle received NATO STANAG4569 Level 3 certification, which is set to protect passengers in lightly armored vehicles. Thus, a similar vehicle can be used to transport law enforcement tactical teams, protected officials and other VIPs.

In total, 780 shots from firearms of various calibers were fired at the Land Cruiser during ballistic tests. 6 hand grenades were blown up at the roof level and 4 under the bottom, as well as a side-mounted mine.

In addition to the armored body and bottom, the SUV received fuel tank and battery protection, enhanced brakes and an electronic warfare system. According to INKAS, this is one of the most reliable and bulletproof Toyotas in the world. Nevertheless, only an emergency hatch on the roof of the car indicates the presence of improvements from the outside.
