The Cupra D28 Formentor e-HYBRID can be powered by an internal combustion engine or fully electric.

The D28 Formentor e-HYBRID is a joint development between Spanish automaker Cupra and shipbuilder De Antonio Yachts. The first company was responsible for the development of the hybrid system, the second - for everything related to the shipping side.

The project is based on a yacht designed by Cupra and De Antonio Yachts in 2020. Demonstration boat with 400 hp engine. could reach speeds of up to 40 knots (74 km / h). The concept stood out for its unusual design with a predominance of straight lines and the original combination of Petrol Blue with different shades of black and carbon fiber elements.

The new D28 Formentor e-HYBRID integrates two 15 kW (20.3 hp) retractable electric motors to create a hybrid system that allows the yacht to operate in both combustion and all-electric modes.

When driving in 100% electric mode, the D28 Formentor travels with zero water pollution and very low acoustic emissions. It can be used in harbors and lakes with limited access.

The D28 Formentor also features a brand new Graphene Gray paint finish from the Cupra color palette, combined with a synthetic teak deck and gray upholstery.

The Cupra D28 Formentor e-HYBRID will be officially presented to the public in early 2023.
