BMW vehicles, including the new BMW i7 electric sedan, were used to transport the world's most powerful people to the recent G7 summit in Germany. There was also an announced armored version of the electric car.
Oliver Zipse, CEO of BMW, has announced that the next-generation armored BMW 7 Series will arrive in 2023. In addition, the company will introduce a fully electric protected car for the first time. Zipse noted that in terms of the level of protection, the electric car will be in no way inferior to a sedan with an internal combustion engine.

The details of the project have not yet been disclosed. It is possible that the armored BMW i7 will be built on the basis of the xDrive60 version. This is an all-wheel drive modification of a sedan with a twin-engine installation, which develops 544 hp. (400 kW) and a torque of 745 Nm. From 0 to 100 km / h, the sedan accelerates in 4.5 seconds, and the range thanks to the 107.8 kWh battery is 483 km in the EPA test cycle.
