The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro SSV combines the advantages of an electric powertrain with the law enforcement features of a police car.

The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro SSV is America's first electric pickup truck designed specifically for law enforcement. The car in the standard version has a power plant with a capacity of 452 hp. and a torque of 1050 Nm. There is also a more productive modification with the same torque and increased to 580 hp. power that accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than four seconds.

Depending on the wishes of a particular police department, the F-150 Lightning Pro SSV can have different equipment and settings. In particular, a ram, flashing beacons, weapon and computer mounts. In addition, the vehicles are supplied with protective steel plates in the backs of the front seats.

The seats themselves are flatter than those found in the civilian Ford F-150. The side bolsters have been specially reduced to make it easier for police officers with a holster on their belt to get into and out of the car. At the same time, the rear seats and passenger cabin floor are upholstered in hard-wearing and easy-to-clean vinyl.

Ford Lightning Pro SSV in the top version can tow a trailer or a car weighing up to 10,000 pounds (4.5 tons). The car can also be used as a mobile power source, such as lighting accident scenes on a highway.

More details on the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning, including range, will be posted at a later date.
