On August 15, in Donetsk region, around 8 o'clock in the morning, a unit of anti-aircraft missile forces of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed a Ka-52 helicopter of the Russian occupation forces. This is the third downed Ka-52 in two days.
Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine spread video with the affected Ka-52. The helicopter in the video smokes a lot during the flight.
Later, another video appeared on social networks, on which you can see the damage to the helicopter. Probably, the Ka-52 became the target of a portable anti-aircraft missile complex.

The Ka-52 "Alligator" is a Russian reconnaissance attack helicopter that has been in mass production since 2008. The machine is capable of hitting armored and non-armored vehicles, manpower and air targets on the battlefield.
Despite the Ka-52 having various missile defense systems, the Ukrainian military shoots down these helicopters from various missile systems. In particular, from the Ukrainian anti-tank missile system "Stugna":
In general, according to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from 24.02.22 to 15.08.2022, Russia lost 195 helicopters of various models in the war with Ukraine.
