Škoda has unveiled the Vision 7S electric crossover concept, a forerunner of the mass-produced electric car that also features new styling and an updated logo for the Czech brand.

The Vision 7S is the first Skoda model to feature the new Tech-Deck Face front end, which features a massive bumper with seven vertical bars. The middle section has a contrasting orange accent, while the rest have been given a metallic-coloured edging. The wide front fascia is surrounded by new T-shaped headlights.

The rear completes the design concept with T-shaped lamps to match the shape of the headlights. The same can be said about the vertical slats that duplicate those located in front. The car is equipped with massive 22-inch wheels with a closed design for better aerodynamics. Another feature of the Vision 7S body is the design of the waist line with an influx at the points of contact between the doors.

Instead of the usual emblem, the Vision 7S Concept has the Škoda inscription on the hood, the fifth door, and even on the steering wheel. It is made in a new font, and the hachek (superscript diacritic in the form of a tick) is integrated into the letter S.

Interior - typical for Škoda cars, minimalistic layout and solutions from the Simply Clever series. Suicidal doors give access to a spacious cabin that can accommodate up to seven passengers. Most of the materials are environmentally friendly. The floor, for example, is made from recycled old tires, while the fabrics are made from recycled polyester threads. Despite the abundance of touch surfaces, some of the car's systems are controlled by physical switches on the center console.

The Škoda Vision 7S Concept is built on the Modular Electrification Toolkit platform for electric vehicles. The crossover has all-wheel drive, a ground clearance of 242 mm and an 89 kWh traction battery located under the floor. The range promised by the manufacturer is up to 600 km (373 miles). Batteries can be charged from a fast charger up to 200 kW.

A production car in the style of Vision 7S Concept will appear in at least three years. It will be one of three new electric models that Škoda plans to bring to market before 2026.
