UK-based SolarBotanic Trees has created its new photovoltaic (PV) 3D leaf-shaped nano-technology "solar tree” to absorb solar power for recharging and energy storage.

The energy tree's primary market is for electric vehicle charging in residential and commercial car parks, where solar power can be captured and stored to charge vehicles, the company said in a press statement.

This new solar tree will have a AI-driven energy storage and power management system. Trees can be linked together and form part of a local grid, or feed into the main grid. The first tree will become available in early 2023.

SolarBotanic Trees is currently conducting an EIS-qualified funding round for commercial launch.

If SolarBotanic Trees is able to deliver cost-effective solar trees for both commercial and residential use, as well as a longer system guarantee with its stunning appearance, then within a couple years, there will be solar trees sprouting all over the place.

For EVs, the time to switch to solar power is now! Not only is it more environmentally-friendly, but solar-powered charging stations are becoming more and more prevalent. With a solar-powered ev charger, you can charge your car for free.

So, if you're looking for a new way to charge your EV, keep an eye out for solar trees!
