The compact crossover is getting rid of its 2.3-liter turbo and adding an updated ActiveGlide hands-free driving system.

The Lincoln Corsair, the company's top-selling model, will drop its 2.3-liter turbocharged engine option and get updated styling inside and out in 2023. The front grille is now taller and the day-time running lights have been converted to form wings on the outside. Two new exterior paint choices will be introduced: Crystal Red and Whisper Blue.

The Corsair's interior is also updated for the 2023 model. Sync 4 technology will be featured on the center screen, which has grown in size to 13.2 inches. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is standard equipment. Lincoln adds two new interior color themes for the first time since its debut in 2004 (Eternal Red and Obsidian Black). Eternal Red is a more vibrant choice, combining red leather seats and dash with gray accents throughout the cabin.

Ford updated BlueCruise to 1.2, which is now called ActiveGlide for Lincoln vehicles. The new and improved system will first appear in the Navigator but will also be available in the Corsair by 2023. Currently, ActiveGlide 1.2 can only operate on pre-mapped roads and has a speed limit of 80 miles per hour; however, lane changes are now possible hands-free as well as suggesting a lane change if another appears to be flowing better with traffic. Even though the system does have several driving capabilities, it is not autonomous and still requires the driver's full attention at all times.

The 2023 Corsair is available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 250 horsepower (186 kilowatts) or a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid that produces 266 hp (198 kW). The turbocharged 2.3-liter turbo four-cylinder has been discontinued. Depending on the trim and powertrain front- or all-wheel-drive configurations are available.

Pricing for the 2023 Corsair will increase by $2110, starting at $39,885 for the base front-wheel-drive model. All-wheel drive is an additional $2300. The Black Label trim is still not available on the Corsair, making the Grand Touring, starting at $54,580, the highest trim available.

The new Corsair will be available in dealerships beginning early 2023.
