In 2024, Ram will begin production of the electric pickup truck. But first, Ram has to show off the concept.

That'll happen in November, when the brand will unveil the Electric Ram Revolution concept at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The unnamed production version won't debut until sometime next year.

Ram CEO Mike Koval Jr. of the Ram brand told the Detroit Free Press that the truck would outperform its rivals in such basic truck activities as hauling and towing.

Earlier this year Ram hinted at an electric vehicle by posting a tweet with a video captioned "Time to steal some thunder," putting the Ford F-150 Lightning and Chevrolet Silverado EV on notice.

Teasers have highlighted a strong-looking truck with an illuminated grille badge, eye-catching lighting elements front and rear, and a double-bubble roof.

The new truck will ride on the Stellantis developing STLA platform. This architecture might offer up to 500 miles of range. We don't know if the finished product will have a similar range, however, we do know that the STLA Frame framework can accommodate 200-kilowatt-hour batteries and larger.

The Ram Revolution concept will be the company's first glance at an electric pickup, and we're looking forward to it. Stay tuned for more information as we approach the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
