SVI MAX 3 is an impressive six-wheeled armored vehicle on a Toyota Land Criuser J79 chassis

Looking for a little bit of extra protection? SVI MAX 3 Double Cab has you covered with their new six-wheeled armored vehicle powered by a V8 turbodiesel engine.

SVI Engineering's MAX 3 Six-Wheeler was unveiled at the Africa Aerospace and Defence Show (AAD2022) in South Africa. It's based on the Toyota J79 chassis, which has been in production since the 1980s.

Aside from the extra two wheels, a 4x4 off-roader has a completely redesigned body composed of armored steel plate that can withstand an assault rifle and anti-personnel grenades attack. It comes with a protection level EN1063 BR6 as standard, but it may be upgraded to BR7 if needed. SVI Engineering has made improvements to the suspension and added a new rear anti-roll bar.

The indestructible 4.5-liter V8 turbodiesel engine provides the power for a maximum gross vehicle mass of 5,500 kilograms (12,125 pounds).

A drone interceptor that includes a radar that detects and identifies hostile drones contributes to some of the weight. The data is then transmitted to the battle management system, which is linked to the automatic grenade launcher. Once the unmanned aircraft is destroyed, it may be retrieved by utilizing an off-road motorcycle attached to the truck's rear.

SVI Engineering plans to sell conversions for the double cab, single cab, and SUV body styles. There is no mention of the armored vehicle's price. In this case, the expense varies based on the equipment and other requirements that the client desires.
