The new truck is characterized by a minimalist design. The car has a ribbed surface on the front, with the brand name illuminated in white. The status of the machine is not yet defined, but its headlights and mirrors are quite ordinary, which could indicate that we are looking at a production model or something very close to it.
According to the press release:
"Ford Trucks' all-electric truck, with a payload of 18-26 tons, comes with excellent manoeuvrability and offers many benefits, including better monthly energy consumption compared to vehicles with internal combustion engines"
Reduced maintenance and fuel costs, among other benefits, are predicted by Ford. According to the company, energy expenses will be reduced by roughly half when compared to present levels. Maintenance expenditures are also anticipated to fall by two-thirds because electric vehicles have fewer moving components that require maintenance.
The Ford Truck's %100 electric truck is forecast to offer a lower total cost of ownership over a 4-year period compared to that of diesel vehicles without any incentives and supports. That's why the upcoming electric truck is so promising - it has potential to save owners money in the long run.
Neither the timing of the start of mass production, nor prices of the new electric truck has not yet been disclosed. Ford Trucks only claims that by 2030 50% of commercial vehicles sold in Europe should be zero-emission.
