According to recent allegations made by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, the long-awaited and delayed Tesla Cybertruck may be able to navigate rivers, lakes, and calm seas.
In a post on Twitter, Musk said that Tesla's upcoming electric Cybertruck will be "waterproof enough to serve briefly as a boat", adding it could cross rivers and lakes.

The Tesla Cybertruck will be able to "get from Starbase to South Padre Island," according to Musk, and a neighboring island with more facilities, respectively.

The distance from Starbase in Boca Chica, Texas to South Padre Island is 39 miles (62 km). However, if you were able to cross the channel in an amphibious Tesla Cybertruck, that would reduce the direct route distance to 6 miles (10 km).
The Tesla Cybertruck was supposed to start being produced in late 2021, but due to shortages of semiconductors and other delays within Tesla, the electric truck's planned launch has been pushed back to mid 2023.

When it was unveiled in 2019, Tesla quoted a starting price of $39,900 for its entry-level single-motor Cybertruck. Mr Musk recently stated that the Tesla Cybertruck's price will be higher than what was originally projections due to inflation and production costs.
