Ford Bronco 2.3L EcoBoost gets a 30 hp increase for $825

Ford Performance released a modification for the four-cylinder Bronco that adds more power and supposedly improves drivability. The Performance Calibration kit, which is only compatible with premium gasoline, was created in-house therefore it doesn't violate the factory guarantee.

The Bronco's stock turbocharged, 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine develops 300 hp and 325 lb-ft (440 Nm) of torque when running on 93 octane gasoline. The engine's tune raises the figures to 330 and 385 (521 Nm), respectively.The tune also improves throttle response throughout the rev range, according to Ford.

The tune also has an impact on the transmission. It improves the shift schedule in Broncoes with the 10-speed automatic and adds a rev-matching function that activates when downshifting to SUVs with the seven-speed manual. With this purchase, you will be able to install 37x12.5R17 BFGoodrich KO2 tires (the same ones on the Bronco Raptor) and an axle ratio of up to 4.70.

The Performance Calibration kit is now available in the US for $825 not including installation. The three-year, 36,000 mile warranty plan starts on the date that the car is put into service. The only drawback is that the kit hasn't been approved by regulators in California for 2022 Bronco models, so Golden State residents will either need to find a 2021 car or be content with the EcoBoost's stock output. In every other state, you can legally drive it on the streets.
