The accident occurred on October 9 when the truck pulling a Lowboy trailer got stuck on the tracks. The delay lasted about 10 minutes.
Unfortunately, no one was able act fast enough and a train collided with the trailer going about 50 miles per hour (80 km/h).
A few people were waving frantically and trying to signal that there was an obstacle ahead, but the train didn't stop in time and hit the trailer. The trailer was carrying cargo that reportedly weighed around 50,000 pounds (22,670 kilograms).
The load being thrown like a mere carton box is unbelievable considering it weighed almost 23 tons. Also, the train's engine apparently derailed but stayed upright. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the semi as it was considered a total loss.
Thankfully, there were no injuries, but it was an unbelievable scene.
