The XFC Concept is Mitsubishi Motors' own creation. Unlike the new-generation Mitsubishi ASX presented last month, which is nothing more than a Renault Captur with a different logo.

The all-new Mitsubishi XFC Concept car showcases Mitsubishi's L-shaped LED headlights with creative louver-like daytime running lights. These same type of taillights are also placed at the back of the car, giving it a repeated light signature that makes this vehicle truly stand out from the rest. The XFC Concept has hexagonal shapes at both ends, and the side profile reveals cameras instead of regular mirrors.

The dual screens for the front passengers is a recent trend that has been adopted by this car, but there are still separate controls for climate settings--a welcome sight. The touch-capacitive panel for these electronic functions is located on the center console between the seats, where we also find the gear selector and stop/start button. The flat-bottomed steering wheel has hexagonal touch buttons to resemble the HVAC module and the controls mounted on the door cards.

The front seats and rear bench have a contrasting yellow finish with matching stitching throughout the cabin. The XFC Concept appears to have a completely flat floor, which gives three passengers in the back seat access to climate controls mounted on a touch panel. Mitsubishi touts that the small crossover has more interior space than competing models, as well as ample storage room in the back.

We don't have all the information yet, but we do know this is the first Mitsubishi car to come with a "Wet" driving mode. This allows drivers to safely continue on roads that have been flooded by water from sudden rain showers. The XFC Concept has other modes too: Normal, Gravel, and Mud.

The production model for Mitsubishi will be on sale in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) markets from the fiscal year 2023. This means that it will be available to purchase sometime between April 2023 and March 2024. However, if it is going to have commercial success, availability must be expanded outside of just the ASEAN region.
