Ken Block collaborated with Audi to feature an electric car in his next Gymkhana video – a first for the series. Block's new Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron was designed as an ode to the iconic 1980s Sport Quattro S1 'Group B' rally car, as well as a recognition of Audi's current ‘e-tron’ electric models.

Block's company Hoonigan unveiled the completed livery for the Hoonitron, which pays homage to one of Audi's most successful racing cars. The original Hoonitron concept was matte grey and silver with day-glow orange, but its new white, red and grey colours better reflect those of the Audi Quattro S1 E2 - famously driven by rally legend Walter Rohrl at Pikes Peak in 1987.

"It was a very tough process taking the incredible design that they had and mixing it with what we need to do with all of our sponsor logos. This took many more iterations than we would normally take to put together a livery but I'm really happy with the way that it turned out." Block said in a YouTube video.

The Audi Hoonitron gets its juice from four batteries located from the Q7 plug-in hybrid SUV. These power the car's two electric motors (one for each axle).

The 11th Gymkhana video, named 'Electrikhana' will be available for streaming on YouTube come October 25.
