Renault boss Fabrice Cambolive has confirmed that the Renault Zoe, first released in 2012, will not be replaced. Instead, the Renault Clio and Captur will continue supplimenting Renault's new electric compact car line-up, which will be headed by the Renault 4 and 5 by 2025.

The decision to end production of the Zoe comes after more than a decade of success, during which it was the top-selling EV in Europe for two years straight (2015-16) and sold more than 100,000 cars in France alone.

Renault has not yet confirmed when production of the Zoe will end.
