Savage Rivale, the Dutch brand behind the 2009 Roadyacht GTS sportscar and the Mirage 18GT yacht, isdesigning a new electric buggie named Coastrunner EV.

The Coastrunner EV, an electric vehicle much like a doorless SUV with an open-air cabin and 215 mm (8.5 inch) ground clearance, is based off of an aluminum spaceframe chassis. There is also a steel roll-cage around the main area as well as both ends.

The modern design features sculpted fenders, thick side sills, LED lights, a canvas roof that can be folded, and rugged bumpers with skid plates. The buggy weighs only 800 kg (1,764 pounds) due to its lightweight structure and composite body.

The cabin is both exposed and waterproof, has four seats as well as an audio system, a three-spoke steering wheel from some Volkswagen, an infotainment touchscreen, and an analog instrument cluster. Yacht-like atmosphere is created with wood accents on the dashboard, floors, and rear shelf. Your snacks and beverages will always be cool as there's space for a 60-liter fridge in the frunk.

A single electric motor located in the rear of the car powers it, providing 67 hp (50 kW / 68 PS) and 200 Nm (147.5 lb-ft) of torque with a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph). According to the company, a 20 kWh battery provides a range of 200 km (124 miles) and only takes 30 minutes to charge.

Though they have not yet announced pricing, Savage Rivale has begun production on the Coastrunner EV with only 13 build slots remaining for next year.
