One person decided to steal a 12 foot (3.6 meter) tall skeleton from an Austin, Texas neighborhood. The hardest part was taking the massive skeleton away from the crime scene.

A popular Halloween decoration this year is a skeleton sold by Home Depot, which was quickly snatched up by many buyers at the $299 price tag. Given the high demand, one person decided to take matters into their own hands and steal the coveted skeleton.

As you can see in the video, a GMC Yukon Denali pulls up next to the skeleton and then the driver gets out. But it's not as easy as it looks to steal a enormous skeleton--the person tries really hard to tip it over at first. Woman tried to shove the skeleton into the open cargo compartment, but found it difficult without the stone or paver that had been preventing it from falling over.

The person tried to put it in head first, but failed as Yukons from the late 2000's were only 202 inches (5,131 mm) long--not much larger than the skeleton itself.

The video ends a short time later, but Fox 7 Austin reports that the skeleton was successfully stolen at around 4:45 p.m. on October 15th. The brazen theft occurred during the day, but nobody saw it. The thief got away and now the local community is offering a $50 reward for information leading to their identity.
