The recall affects the Cyberquad model after an eight-year-old child and 36-year-old woman caused it to tip over. The manufacturer only allows one person on the vehicle at a time, but the adult still got a bruised shoulder from being in the accident.

The Tesla Cyberquad for Kids-an all-terrain vehicle inspired by Tesla's Cybertruck-has been recalled due to notaligning with safety standards, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced. Immediate cease of use is advised for anyone who owns one of these $1,900 ATVs, the CPSC said.

"The Cyberquad fails to comply with the federal mandatory safety standard requirements for youth ATVs," the CPSC wrote. "These ATV safety standards are in place to reduce crash and injury hazards, preventing serious injury or death." They went on to say the Cyberquad "lacks a CPSC-approved ATV action plan, which is required to manufacture, import, sell, or distribute ATVs."

The action plan contains "numerous safety requirements, such as rider training, dissemination of safety information, age recommendations, and other safety measures" that are designed to "reduce crash and injury hazards, preventing serious injury or death."

Despite bearing Tesla's name, the Cyberquad for Kids was made by a Chinese Feishen Vehicle Industry Co and imported by Radio Flyer. Tesla consulted with Radio Flyer on the appearance of the Cyberquad, according to a Radio Flyer FAQ on the recall, but the Cyberquad for Kids was sold exclusively on Tesla's website and there are around 5,000 of them out there. It appears to have been removed, and Radio Flyer said in its FAQ that it doesn't know if it'll be sold in the future.

Radio Flyer is offering a full refund of $1,900 for the product. Consumers can get the full refund only by returning the Cyberquad for Kids and its motor control.
