Porsche engineers have been working hard to conceal the new-generation 718 Boxster, taking away the full-width taillights and covering up some crucial body lines. However, it's the fake center exhaust pipe that gives away that this car is electric.
The prototype has active aerodynamics at the front, with large air intakes in the bumper appearing to house flaps. These flaps can open or close to aid with downforce and cooling of vehicle components.

Previously leaked information from Porsche dealerships in the US point to at least 400 km of driving range, with a target weight of approximately 1650 kg for the new model.

The new electric 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster and Cayman models are anticipated to be revealed in the next 18 months, with sales estimated to start in 2024 or 2025.
