The Spanish startup Liux introduced an innovative electric car made from environmentally friendly materials, called "the first ever bio-car."

The Liux Animal is a mix between a station wagon and crossover, measuring 4.65 meters long and 1.38 meters high. It has enough space inside to comfortably seat five people.

The Liux vehicle production process is unique. It uses a 3D printing robot and a post-machining process to reduce the cost, energy usage, and CO2 emissions. 90% of the materials used in the manufacture of the vehicle are either recycled or plant-based. The outer skin, interiors and part of the chassis are made from bio-polymer, based on organic fibers and resins.

Liux also developed a chassis with modular and removable batteries, so that they can be updated, expanded or reused. The Animal can incorporate up to four battery pack modules, which provide a maximum of 90 kWh of capacity and up to 600 kilometers of range.

Liux Animal's electric motor has a nominal power of 130 hp. However, the maximum peak power is much higher: 190 hp in the Habitat version and 240 hp in the Wild version. The former will reach a top speed of 180 km/h while latter will hit 200 km/h. Additionally, the Wild version comes with firmer suspension, performance brakes, sports traction control, exclusive exterior paint, specific interior and wheel design.

The Spanish startup has also developed its own software for the car's infotainment system, based on Android Automotive. This new design is what they like to call "totally out of the ordinary".

In approximately two years, the company wants the first Liux Animal fleet to be seen driving in main European cities. If you pay a deposit of 200 euros, you can join the waiting list for deliveries during the first year of production (which will be limited). And although the final price is not yet set, those responsible for this new brand hope that it will start at 39,000 euros.
