Kia's new logo was unveiled in 2021, and Twitter user @Shwinnabego noticed that Google searches for "KN car" have increased significantly since then. This is likely due to the increasing availability of models with the new logo. Even outside of search results, people are often confused about what car models belong to which company. A recent Reddit post showed a picture of a Kia Carnival with the caption "KN car model?"
the new kia logo is so unreadable that at least 30k people a month search for the "KN car" ever since its debut pic.twitter.com/jRj25JoAPp

According to Google Trends data, this occurrence is not only limited to the United States; people in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom are also conducting searches for terms such as "KN SUV," "KN car brand price," and "KN car brand electric." Similarly, searches conducted in America include queries like "What is KN car brand?" "KN Carnival car," "What is KN?,' and 'KN Telluride car."
Although "KN car" is only searched for around 30,000 times per month in comparison to 1.83 million searches for just "Kia," it appears to happen frequently enough that Google Chrome automatically suggests "KN Car" and "KN Car Brand" when someone types in "KN c."
Upon first inspection, this situation seems dire, but it's noteworthy that people are so intrigued by Kia vehicles they search for them without any prior knowledge. Although not ideal, this goes to show how much potential interest there is in the brand.
